Bring Laughter, Conversation & Creativity to an Older Adult’s Day. Loneliness is one of the biggest challenges facing older adults today. Your team can help by spending quality time with older neighbors, engaging in fun activities, and bringing warmth and companionship into their day.
What to Expect
Small group gatherings – 2-3 volunteers for every member (with a maximum of 14 volunteers) will meet with older adult members for meaningful conversations and shared activities.
Creative activities – Cookie decorating, pumpkin painting, crafting, or music-filled social hours.
Tech assistance – Help an older adult with phone, tablet, or computer tasks.
Convenient Location – These gatherings are facilitated by staff and we work together to find the best location for both older adult and volunteer group.
Why Choose a Social Connection Project?
Easy and fun for teams! No physical labor—just meaningful moments.
Reduces loneliness and isolation for older adults – simply spending time and listening to an older adult can be the highlight of their week!
A great fit for groups who love conversation, crafts, or teaching a few basic phone tips and tricks.
A structured, 2+ hour event led by A Little Help staff to ensure a welcoming and engaging experience.
