Ditch the Desk for Community Giving
Let’s step away from the screen and step into the community. Your yard work helps older adults stay safe at home — and your friendly presence helps reduce social isolation.
 
MESSAGE REGARDING REGISTRATION: Registration will be closed from 5 PM on Friday, 5/15 until 9 AM on Monday, 5/18. We currently have 3 slots available for this project. If you have questions, please email walker@alittlehelp.org.
What You Need to Know
  • Every participant must register individually using the volunteer link above.
    Registration ensures that each volunteer completes the required waiver and helps our team plan logistics for the day.
  • Your group must have at least one TEAM LEADER.
    Project details and day-of communication will be sent to the TEAM LEADER to share with the group.
  • Make sure everyone knows who the TEAM LEADER is prior to service day.
    Clear communication keeps the day smooth and organized.
The Heart of A Little Help
Yard work is the task — connection is the goal. Many older adults experience social isolation as they age and neighborhoods change. Please take time to introduce yourselves, chat when appropriate, and build community while you work.
Bring the Ditch the Desk Energy
Work as a team. Enjoy being outside. Celebrate the before-and-after. Small kindness + practical help = a meaningful difference.
